26-29 JUN - EYE OF THE COLLECTOR ART FAIR IN LONDON, UK

Drawing inspiration from ancient and archetypal form, their artistic practice translates these historical references into a captivating visual language of their own. Each distinctive vessel hewn from a single section of Oak through the craft of woodturning, the pair collaborate with their material of choice in a way that celebrates the natural beauty of the tree, embracing every aspect of its character within the finished form.

Working with a single section of lightning struck Oak from Heathfield in Sussex for their new works created especially for Eye of The Collector, they have created a series of vessels that celebrate these ancient and historical inspirations. Each vessel a playful yet technically complex contemporary reinvention of these references, crafted to highlight the natural imperfections within the material and featuring the pairings signature stitch-work repair that celebrates the natural imperfections within the ancient Oak that they work.

Eye of the Collector announces exhibitors for 2024 edition at new location

Taking place in a new venue at the beautiful Grade II listed Garrison Chapel at the Chelsea Barracks between 26-29 June 2024, Eye of the Collector offers a unique environment in which to appreciate and acquire works by both emerging and established 20th and 21st century artists and designers.

This edition will have a stronger focus on international art and artists and will see the fair collaborate with new galleries for the first time, as well as continuing long-standing partnerships with previous exhibitors.

“We are bringing a fresh, new perspective to our fourth edition and are delighted to curate a selection of works at our new home, the Garrison Chapel in the Chelsea Barracks. As well as having a broad spectrum of C20th and Contemporary British art, this year’s edition also places a greater emphasis on international art, with participating galleries from Europe, the Middle East and Asia for the first time.” Nazy Vassegh, Founder and CEO of Eye of the Collector.
