29 FEB to 03 MAR - COLLECT OPEN 2024 'NOVUS COLLECTION" AT SOMERSET HOUSE IN LONDON, UK

The work of partners Barnaby Ash and Dru Plumb is a harmonious blend of ancient inspiration and contemporary innovation. By referencing archaeological forms and reimagining traditional craft techniques, they create visually captivating pieces that pay homage to the past while pushing the boundaries of their craft.

Working with a single lightning-struck oak from Heathfield, Sussex, for their curation, Novus is a celebration of historical inspirations reinvented in a modern and playful visual language. They choose to highlight natural imperfections, working collaboratively with their chosen material and embracing the variety of character it imbues on the finished vessels. These works are of considerable scale compared to their traditional practice and feature complex new carved handles and stitch-work alongside.

We're delighted to share the exciting news that we've been selected to show amongst a stellar group of 17 artists and 14 projects to be featured in Collect Open 2024 at Somerset House in London, 29th February to 3rd March.

Our showcase will spotlight our most ambitious and innovative creations to date, enriched by Barnaby's 2023 QEST Scholarship training.

This prestigious opportunity unfolds at Collect Art Fair, the forefront of international fairs for contemporary craft and design, where we'll be among 40 international galleries, presenting the works of up to 200 artists to an audience of collectors, buyers, and museum curators.
