Patinated Oak vessel treated with lime and a touch of fire before coating with danish oil and wax and then repaired with our signature waxed cotton stitchwork.

This new form we’ve dubbed ‘Ewer’ in reference to its early Roman inspiration that came in the form of a magnificent water jug, definitely one we’ll be exploring further as we’re very much enjoying its form. In this particular case its actually entirely split in two and has been stitched back together.

Height: 15cm
Diameter: 12cm
GBP £420 (inc VAT)

This vessel was crafted from timber framing offcuts acquired from a local sawmill, the Oak itself was from a responsibly managed woodland in Kent.

Product Care

These vessels have been finished with a UV protective danish oil as well as a very fine microcrystalline wax that’s then been buffed to give it a subtle polish.

I recommend cleaning and dusting your vessel with a stiff clean brush, (we tend to use a small nail brush or something of the sort) not only will this help to clean anything out of the textured grain but also serve to further buff the finish underneath. If absolutely necessary use a lint free damp cloth to rub the surface and then dry it off and buff it with a brush in the manner mentioned above.
